IRISS, the manufacturer of polymer infrared windows and associated electrical maintenance safety devices, is pleased confirm that Anthony Ballard has now been appointed Operations Director, working at the Chelmsford office. He joined the company in Autumn last year as Business Development Manager and has since been overseeing the development of the IRISS distributor network throughout EMEA.

One of the first new distributorships confirmed under his stewardship is in Norway; TCAM AS (www.tcam.no). The company specialises in infrared technology and currently supplies temperature switches, IR black bodies, pyrometers and infrared cameras for both industrial and maritime throughout Norway. The agreement adds the IRISS Infrared Windows and Delta T™ Alert to its product programme.

Although IRISS is best known for its industrial grade, polymer infrared windows for thermal imaging inspection, the company now manufacturers and markets a range of electrical maintenance safety devices (EMSD), of which infrared windows is part. These products are designed to preserve productivity, protect the inspection team against arc flash and electrocution and safeguard profitability.

Indeed, this approach to effective and safe inspection has seen an upswing in demand for IRISS products across EMEA, creating the need for additional staff.

The first new appointment made by IRISS UK, based in Chelmsford, is David Smith, as the company’s new Technical Sales Advisor.
