Don't overlook the use of postcards as part of your marketing strategy. A well written message or offer delivered on a postcard can bring excellent responses. Here are four additional ideas that may enhance your postcard marketing campaign even more.

1. Size

Try an over-sized postcard for additional impact. As well as getting more attention that a conventionally-sized postcard you've got more room to write your killer message and offer.

2. Shape

Make your over-sized postcard a different shape. Oblong is boring, so try an oval, a butterfly or anything else that takes your fancy. Make the shape relevant to the message if that is at all possible.

3. Material

There are exciting new materials that you can get your postcards made out of – and they don't cost the earth. How about a plastic postcard or one that is metal-coated? These can be produced right now but not many  businesses use them – could this be your opportunity to make a real impact?

4. Variable data printing

For little additional cost you can use variable data printing to personalise the message on a single-print run of a postcard. So you can include people's names, other specific text or even different pictures/photos, variable QR codes etc. All of this gives you a great opportunity to make a single postcard campaign highly targeted and individualised.
